
NZ Internship
New Zealand is a modern, diverse country with a population of around four million people. More than one third live in the Auckland region, with other major cities being Wellington (the capital), Christchurch and Dunedin. What services do we offer?
·Arrangement a work placement for you
·Ensure that you have the appropriate paper work for a “Work Visa”
·Arrival at New Zealand 7 days before the start of your internship
·Arrangement for a period of English Language training
·Assist in the extension of your work visa
Eligibility Criteria
·Currently enrolled as a full time university or other “tertiary”/”post-secondary” student in a university/college and is required to complete a practical work placement
·Must have a good level of spoken and written English: Minimum IELTS 6.00 (or TOEFL 550)
·Internship must be related to your course of study as certified by your university/college and you are not allowed to take up other jobs while in the program
·Must have sufficient funds as required by the New Zealand Immigration Service
·Must be covered by approved travel and medical insurance period of internship in NZ
- Recommended to take out extra insurance for extension of stay
·Application of New Zealand visa at the designated NZ Visa Office. Extra visa application fee will be incurred at the time of application. (Not included in program fee)
·Job placement can take up to 6 months upon receipt of Application Form and acceptance for placement. Upon confirmation of a placement, the visa issuing process can take up to 6 weeks. Applicants are advised to apply at least 6 months before their intended internship in New Zealand.
Can I extend my stay?
You can remain in New Zealand as a tourist for 3 months after the time span of your work visa. Participants from some countries may require a special visa.
An extension of your internship with the same employer (up to a further 6 months) may be possible if both the employer and intern request this, and the terms of the internship have been met.
Medical insurance is required for the extension and is participants’ responsibility.
